Contribute to fteproxy
We need your help to maintain, improve and scale fteproxy.
There are three ways you can contribute to the fteproxy project.
Test
We need people to test fteproxy, and report issues encountered.
There are two ways you can help:
-
Tor Browser Bundle:
Use the fteproxy-powered Tor Browser Bundle.
If you encounter any issues, please report them on the Tor trac system.
-
fteproxy command-line software and API:
If you are a developer, you may use the fteproxy software directly.
The fteproxy software is available on github and has both a command-line and Python interface.
If you encounter any issues, please file a report on fteproxy's github issue tracker.
Develop
If you're a developer, there are multiple ways to contribute:
-
Resolve open issues:
We keep track of open issues on github: Open fteproxy issues, which need to be resolved.
-
New features:
There are a number of areas where fteproxy need further attention but we have insufficient resources, as a couple examples:
- UDP compatibility: the current release of fteproxy supports calling applications that use TCP.
However, there are are cases (e.g., the calling code is UDP) where UDP support is required.
- Implementations in new languages: the current fteproxy API is in Python. However, implementations of the API in other languages (e.g., C++, Java, etc.)
would increase the number of third party applications that can integrate fteproxy into their code.
